Natives deserve the right to swear an oath on our eagle feather. It is our symbol and connection between the Creator and man. This sacred symbol is more than just a feather to us. It is our culture and our spirituality.
Native traditions being oral mean we do not have a book to read from or swear on. Instead we ask this sacred symbol be recognized for its true purpose.
