The airport lockout of airport cabs was an outrageous and an unfair act. The airport cabbies have the right to keep working and supporting their families. Being affected by Uber in the first place, this had added another trouble to their existing challenges.
Some sort of quick review is required to help them go back and service the passengers again and earn a living at an affordable fee increase that wont jeopordaize their budget. $5 per fare is really too much to ask from the poor hard working cabbies at the airport.

The airport drives are x10 better then any taxi service in Ottawa. Blue line drivers have no right to steal the customers from the airport drivers!

What many people have to understand is that these drivers have been working for 20 plus years dedicated to there work. Have to go to school to get there licenses and many buying there licenses, which is now threatened by the likes of uber, which in turn came in with no taxi schooling and licenses and no regulations. Worst part about it is the leadership such as major Jim Watson having nothing good to say and verbally putting them down calling them thugs instead of acting realizing these taxi drivers are paying there monthly fees to the city to operate there taxis, and uber is getting a free ride.!!! If they are legally paying to operate there taxis business and uber is not, offer them protection not verbal put downs Mr. Watson.

Canada is a nation known for fighting for Human Rights, while now it's politicians are sitting idly by. Just watching tax paying hard workers being destroyed by corporate greed, driving them into poverty. Please continue spreading the message, hopefully someone will eventually listen and support Ottawa Airport Taxi Drivers.

Airport taxi's provide the best service possible to the public with professional work attire, (unlike the city cab drivers, shorts, t-shirts, flip flops), exceptional customer service and respect. We want to go back to work to happily provide professional service to the public, like we always have. We are being treated unfairly with being denied the right and ability to work and provide for our families. Reminder to all: Please educate everyone around you about the strike. Airport Taxi's are LOCKED OUT. We did not walk out, we were locked out! We are here to work. We would like to be heard and are willing to sit down and negotiate at anytime, any day, however; Coventry Connections does not want to negotiate. We want the Public to know what's really going on.
We apologize for any inconvenience. Greed is not the way to go! Also, everything we do is done legally with the officers knowledge.
P.S. We do NOT appreciate Mayor Watson's comments about the Taxi drivers in the Ottawa Sun today.

Please help these drivers to get back to work in order for them to provide for their families. Greed is no good and tables can turn so please change this serious matter. Nobody would wish this on anyone.
Get them back to business ASAP
