Mom of 3 hockey girls here. My eldest daughter wanted to join the boys playing hockey at recess this week- instead she was met with bullying and abuse and a game of
“Let’s all aim for her face and whoever hits it wins” - thank goodness for principals and teachers getting involved. The boys involved were removed and once they left more girls decided to join as they finally felt safe too.
Hockey is a sport for anyone that wants to play!!!

As a past Director of Oakville Hornets Girls Hockey Association it is my hope that the fairness for ice time for all players we fought for/continue to fight for delivers equality for all.
