Don't argue that "Gay" is censored because of how it's used as an insult. Mineplex's view on the situation just came forward, and that is most definitely not the reason.

In a society where homosexuality is growing and mineplex claims to be "family - friendly" children are going to run into it eventually. Mentioning your sexuality is not to be thought of in a sexual way, grow up! I can see where homophobes might use it as an insult but as staff we are prepared to combat negativity in the community and in-game. It is to the same extent of racism, African Americans fought for their rights in the same manner, people need to stop being so blind and realize the same thing is happening again. If mineplex feels that the community should be family friendly there are so many things that could be blocked as a result of their own words.

I think it's very important that this gets out there. If we don't teach kids about sexuality, we will keep raising a society where people can't be themselves. Banning players for having their sexual orientation in their name is idiotic.
