I have seen how low these airplanes get over residential neighborhoods when they are coming in for landing. There are many children and adults with respiratory conditions and the fumes worsen their problems. We definitely need to know about air quality.

As an Asthma sufferer the air quality in south East Queens has increased and it is continued to be a major problem for all who suffered from upper respiratory issues.

I, Gary Taylor as well as my family, are residents of South Jamaica, Queens, New York within 5-10 miles of JFK airport and want to know what’s in the air we’re breathing, want appropriate follow-up, and mitigation to be implemented to address any negative findings.
To: Governor Mario Cuomo and your Congressional Representative
We want an independent, comprehensive air quality quality study for communities within five to ten miles from JFK Airport to determine what’s in the air that we are breathing. Furthermore, we want appropriate follow-up and mitigation to address any findings from these studies.

Having lived in very close proximity of JFK Airport since 1988 and see it continued expansion, it is clear there is no concern for the health and impact on its adjacent residents affected by JFK expansion.
