Third Bus Request - Imagine Weston Islands of Adventure Field Trip for Middle School

Dear Principal and Assistant Principal,

This letter is to communicate that a group of parents from Middle School are concerned in regards to the directions taken in reference to the Field Trip to Orlando scheduled for May 26th, since we were informed that only a small group of kids who pay early will be able to travel and another group will not.

On March 30th we received the email from Mr. B with all the information about the trip in a letter. We understood the instruction about the 50 people per bus capacity and also that partially filled busses cannot be accommodated. Currently, there are two buses filled and a list of 25 students waiting for a third bus to be filled, however, this information was provided by the Students to the Parents, not from the School to the Parents. The letter about trip info also states a due day for pay: April 22nd, but the portal wasn't available to make payment by then.

For the 8th graders, this is the second trip organized by the School, the first didn't go through since there wasn't enough participation, so this Trip was a new opportunity for the students to share all together out of school for the last time, in two years of a pandemic, they weren't able to have that experience, so for them, this is a lifetime opportunity.

The group of parents who are signing this letter is requesting you to reconsider including a third bus, reopen the portal for payments, and extend it for a few more days, in order to let the parents on the waiting list fill the third bus. Another option accepted, is to allow the waiting list to pay the expenses that involve including a third bus.
