He deserved this more than most who have already been honoured. For everything he did for so many, he truly will always be a national treasure and will always be a Sir in our eyes

Paul absolutely deserves a knighthood posthumously for his services to animals, charities, children, the elderly, the LGBTQ community, the poor and homeless etc. His services to broadcasting and comedy. He was one of a kind, unique, selfless and very generous, deeply caring and compassionate, loved people and animals. He will be sadly and deeply missed but definitely NOT FORGOTTEN about. Thank you for all the joy and laughter you brought me down the years as both yourself and your alter ego Lily Savage. Paul O Grady RIP
