Yes it is true that minorities have too strong of a voice and I think The Book says it best when it says pay everyone what you owe him: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.

It was John the Baptist who said "Collect no more than you are appointed to collect." (Luke 2:12-13) We need to wake up and remove this tyranny from the minorites!

Perhaps Bill Krepick should consider a City Council position. His letter was a perfect synopsis of our current perspective.

Thank you so much. I am held accountable for my credit decisions. I am made to pay my bills and I am not allowed to scare people into submission for my needs and desires. Only government gets away with that plot and it is time for it to end. Look in the mirror and take responsibility for your actions don't reflect the consequences on me. Thank you again.

We cannot move forward constructively, unless we do a thorough analysis of financial conditions, present costs and revenues, and how to optimize what we have now. By ignoring common sense analysis and launching these financial Rube Goldberg measures, we’re just making chaos spin faster, and we’re not helping ourselves.

Mayor Rosen, why won't you listen to the people you were elected to represent? If you really want to get Edmonds on secure financial footing, why won't you listen to the people and form a citizens financial advisory group? Why won't you listen? I love my Edmonds community and I would vote "Yes" to pay more taxes to support Edmonds, IF you practiced good governance and provided full transparency. The citizens need and deserve this, it is a basic, essential service. Why are you making this hard? Just do it.

I had to pay a $2,000 electric bill a month or so ago, before the electric meters were installed, with only 4 people living in my triplex. I was told there was a fee per unit. I have lived here for over 40 years and have never had to pay such an outrageous bill. When I went down to city hall, I was told, in so many words, pay the bill or the electricity would be turned off! I was never able to find anyone to explain this unbelievable bill. and was virtually dismissed. What is going on in our city? Let me know what I can do to help. Sincerely, Bette Bell
