Enough is enough in South West Nova Scotia!
On Friday, November 26, former SWSDA boss Frank Anderson filed a lawsuit in Nova Scotia Supreme Court against the Government of Nova Scotia and two cabinet ministers. (see http://thechronicleherald.ca/Business/1214151.html) Frank Anderson lost his job after a fair and thorough review by the Nova Scotia Ombudsman, after a thorough and fair review by the Department of Justice and Department of Economic and Rural Development and after a thorough review and recommendations by Ernst and Young. After having been negatively affected in economic policy and activity for almost 15 years by the actions and inactions of SWSDA and its executives, we citizens in the communities of South West Nova Scotia say that Enough is enough! We need to get on with building and re-building our communities. We hereby petition the Nova Scotia Government and Ministers Percy Paris and Ross Landry to do the following: 1.) refuse to cave in to the threats and demands of Mr. Anderson and his legal team 2.) refuse to offer or agree to any cash settlement with Mr. Anderson. He was handsomely paid for the work he did, to the very last penny, including what appear to be unusually high expenses of more than claimed. 3.) protect the interests of the citizens of Nova Scotia by sending the message that Enough is enough!... that demands for additional monies will not be met... 4.) send a signal to all those being paid from the hard-earned tax dollars of honest Nova Scotians that there are consequences for wrongful behaviour.
