Another form of discrimination at its finest!

I couldn't legislate long boarders out of the water when I rode a short board. The same freedom should apply no matter the shape or size of your craft.

SUP should be allowed anywhere surf is. Self regulation is key. Don't be lazy. No one owns the ocean.

SUP needs more area and it goes largely unused and is a shared natural resource

Surfer discrimination against SUP flies in the face of all progressive societal behavior.

I just left San Onofre after riding great waves in the proposed area. There were no prone surfers and I had many great waves. Driving out I witnessed SUP surfers at all the other San Onofre breaks also, Everything was fine, no issues at all between prone surfers and stand up surfers. No lifeguards present to enforce the very outdated rules. Everyone was having a great time! This serves to illustrate that all surfers can self regulate without any problems at these breaks.

The ocean belongs to everyone and there should be no restrictions at all!

There should be no restrictions on SUP surfing. There isn't a difference between a 10-11ft log a person is surfing at oldmans vs a 8-10ft sup surfboard.

These restrictions are unfair to a wonderful and growing group of ocean enthusiasts and should be completely eliminated.

I enjoy going here and feel so limited due to restriction for standup paddle. Hoping we can allow more area of those who enjoy both surlfing and sup. Nam

With the technology we have now, most surf SUP are even shorter and a lot lighter than longboards. Most surf SUP are 9' or less while longboards are over 9'. Why do we need to have separate surf and SUP areas?

The segregation of SUP from surfers is ridiculous. Do a petition to get rid of the ban completely and I'll sign it too!
