We live on main canal and too many boaters ignore the NO WAKE rules of the waterways. It is now high time that the NO WAKE ZONE rules be ENFORCED! So I hope that there are more Marine Patrols who will enforce this! Our seawall is being destroyed! The shrimpers go way too fast and are reckless. One of them took out our floating dock last year! Ugh!

No wake zone is never enforced. Many commercial fishing boats go out with enough wake to throw someone off their dock and late night they travel full speed Up and down the channel.

I also live on the main canal named Marlin. We have Shrimpers and Recreational users. The Recreational users really need to understand the damage they do. Ticketing with a warning and mandatory education is what is needed for a first offense. After that fine them. The code has a fine of $500. Seems excessive, but if they don't obey the law they deserve the fine. Next step ... maybe a petition to enforce the No Litter Law?

The no wake zone ordinance is constantly violated and needs to be enforced.

Probably a lost cause, but I'm in. I don't begrudge the shrimpers, crabbers, & commercial fishermen as much as all the residents, weekenders, recreationally ruining everyone's property & peace of mind. The commercial guys have bigger boats that can't maintain headway without having a wake. The recreational boaters? Not the same case as commercial.

I live on the main canal of Hernando Beach Marina-most boaters both owner and rentals do not observe the No Wake Zone on this canal.
