These are the common standard of achievements in Article 23:

"(1) Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.
(2) Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.
(3) Everyone who works has the right to just and favourable remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection.
(4) Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests. "

Infringement of worker's rights due to big companies such as Primark abusing low income countries and not providing them with the necessary/favorable conditions of work - I have been alerted of this from the collapse of the Rana Plaza Factory in April 2013 which killed 1,100 and left 2,500 injured workers exemplifying the lack of care for workers in Bangladesh.

Please note that Primark isn't the only brand involved in this disaster, other brands being Benetton,Bonmarché,Cato Fashions,the Children's PlaceEl Corte Inglés,Joe Fresh,Mango,Matalan, and Walmart.

It is known that workers have to work from 9am - 9pm with ONLY a lunch break, it is agonizing to know that people are losing a lot (their happiness, safety and their future) just so a brand that doesn't NEED the excess funds can profit off and ruin the potential of many. And, for what? Only a mere £25 a month payment which isn't worth it.

This petition is to raise awareness of how people who are providing some of our fashion are being treated badly. They're just like us, human, and so they must be treated equally and receive better treatment.

I want to stop people/organizations with power trying to suppress those without such power. It just isn't right.

Please, if you are able to, try and raise awareness of this issue and help the cause! We cannot continue living like this. Though, this may be a long shot, I want humans to live in equality and I hope you do as well!

We need these workers and they need us. We need to start ensuring the treatment is equal to their contribution. It's the least that could be done.
