I use this road regularly to go to Ashville Sports centre. I always do 20 but people flash there headlights and try to intermediate me in to going faster. On more than one occasion the car behind has overtaken me. One car that past me then pulled into The school to drop their kids off. I’m doing 20 to keep their kids safe?

This road is highly dangerous for both school children and older pedestrians. It is about time the council acted before there is a serious accident or fatality.

This road needs speed enforcement with the number of local schools and the sports centre that children also use outside school hours. Feeder roads like Pannal Ash Drive and Arthurs Avenue are used as short cuts by speeding traffic and also need restriction.

Any action to improve road safety for school children is welcome.

Speed bumps or speed dips are an excellent idea

This should be extended to include Arthur’s Avenue too, currently 30mph despite two schools and double-parked cars.

I don't know how we managed to cross to school before John the lollypop man was employed. With all the new houses being built this is going to get worse. The 20mph limit is entirely ignored even when walking with small children to primary school.

The situation is equally as bad on Green Lane, however there is no reduced speed limit in place despite 2 schools and no crossing. It is a matter of tine before there is a serious accident

I have lived on Pannal ash road for 3 years in the 30 mph section and it’s shocking how fast some vehicles travel up and down, I estimate some high powered audis and BMWs are nearing speeds of 100mph in the evenings and early in the morning around 7.30am cars often do over 50mph, I’m currently monitoring a few cars which are persistently breaking the speed limit at busy times of the day. I’ve had two close calls when leaving my driveway and when crossing the road taking my young children to school. If the police think there is a cause to sit a mobile camera van in the middle of knowhere then surely they will have the resources to monitor speed on Pannal ash and surrounding roads, it’s only a matter of time before a child is seriously injured.

Not only do motorists not stick to 20mph, they often exceed 30+ mph. More than once I've been driving along the road at 20 only to be overtaken by another vehicle. It is so worrying that a child pedestrian or cyclist could be hit and injured or even worse.

Needs sorting before someone gets hurt.

Also needs resurfacing - there are a number of sections of broken surface and pot holes which, in the case of an emergency, would increase braking distances in addition to the risk presented by a high proportion of vehicles travelling at excess speed.

This road is an accident waiting to happen. Have seen multiple near misses. Children everywhere. Frustrated speeding drivers. Even lorries and school buses. Please make improvements.

This road is totally unsafe

Crossing that road with or without children in tow is a life threatening experience. The Rossett buses at home time completely disregard the speed limit. Disgraceful.

A long straight road which cars often fly down and regularly overtake, speed bumps would be a very welcome addition

Please may we have some sort of speed restrictions put in place on Pannal Ash Drive. It is a residential area which is now being used as a ‘speedy cut through’ to Pannal etc. People speed up as soon as they come off Otley Road and speed up to the Z bend at the half way point. There are lots of children living up this road and surrounding feeder streets with 4 local schools within short distance.

Something needs doing ASAP before a child is seriously injured or killed.

Cars and buses can drive so fast on this road.
