I have created this petition to catch the attention of our current State Representative, Mark Messmer, about the issue of Domestic Violence. My hope is that the state of Indiana would increase the amount of domestic violence awareness through advertisements and by making stronger laws for those who become physically or emotionally abusive. With these extra efforts we can get the word out to couples or families suffering from abuse so they may have safe outreach programs to turn to. My belief is that if we spread awareness about domestic violence we can teach people the warning signs of domestic abuse so that they may help loved ones or friends who could be suffering from an abusive partner. Let's end domestic violence and put a stop to the damage it does to relationships, families, and victims.
