I urge Government of Pakistan to scale up legislative, administrative and financial efforts for impactful interventions at community levels focused on preventing child marriages, and to invest in education and economic empowerment of girls, boys and young women as critical measures for preventing child marriages. I urge South-Asian governments to bring the required legal reforms against the increasing prevalence of child marriages in their respective countries according to internationally set standards while ensuring their access to the basic rights of health, education and protection, especially that of a girl child.
