This happened to my aunt and it was devastating. She followed every rule but got punished anyway. Shameful.
DO THE RIGHT THING. This is common sense.
This policy is just plain cruel. My heart breaks for these families who lose everything because of a government paperwork technicality.
Fix this now. Death is hard enough without the government kicking you while you are down.
Total nonsense. Marriage is marriage. Stop punishing people for a tragedy they had no control over.

Please pass this amendment. Nobody should be deported just because their spouse passed away.
