Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President, denounced slavery because of its inhumane issues, including separating children from their families. During World War II, when Japanese American were inserted in camps, children were kept with their families. In this day and age, we have gone backwards instead of going forward by separating children in bordering states from their mother's and father's. This is not a political issue, it is a human rights issue. Those children are human, too!

This petition is to help our President, Congress, and Senate to understand that American values are still alive! I am pleading with all Americans, no matter what your political affiliation is, to help our government understand that separating children from their families, even if they are illegal immigrants, is wrong! Maybe if enough sign this petition, it will push more action from all our government electives to stop this inhumane practice; and either end or revise the Zero Tolerance Policy.
