We, the undersigned, demand and request our elected leaders suspend unauthorized US intervention in Yemen including support for the KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)’s dirty war in Yemen. Thousands of civilians have been killed in Yemen and hospitals bombed with the support of the US government, including in-flight refueling for KSA bombing aircraft and intelligence sharing. Famine, partly caused by a KSA’s blockade of ports, and now a cholera epidemic have turned Yemen into the “world’s largest humanitarian catastrophe” where millions of innocent lives are in jeopardy. As Anthony Lake, executive director of UNICEF and former National Security Advisor, has said, the solution is to “Stop the War”. We demand our elected leaders act to stop the war in Yemen and remedy the humanitarian crisis, including voting for such bills as the bipartisan House Concurrent Resolution 81 sponsored by Representatives Khanna, Massie, Pocan and Jones.
