End traffic barriers in Littlemore and Cowley

They drive my street now instead, why no think ahead?

This is beyond a joke, and impacts main roads, not "rat runs".

Wednesday, my wife needed to attend the doctor. She has difficulty in walking so depends upon her car. She had to drive ten times the normal distance, taking ten times as long, using ten times the amount of fuel and pumping ten times the amount ofCO2 contaminants into the atmosphere. If we can't use roads we have paid for with the sweat of our brows, refund the money to us that paid for them. Thank goodness the May elections are coming up, time for councillors to pay the piper.

Poorly planned, poorly actioned!

Westbury Crescent has now become the only access or egress for the Mayfair road area. All exiting onto Rose Hill, a busy main road. The whole scheme is anti vehicle!

This could delay emergency services getting to the emergency therefore endangering lives.

I feel strongly about this because it will cause traffic disruption

The fact there was no consultation regarding the LTN's was completely unjust. (Yes you sent a letter claiming there would be consultations but these never seemed to materialise...) Makes absolutely no sense.

Ridiculous idea

This is already making traffic worse and will only increase pollution. Oxford already has terrible infrastructure for traffic. Don't close the roads that supplement the clogged up major routes without creating alternatives.

Until recently I lived in this area for 7 years so I happily will sign to petition to remove these ridiculous obstructions.

We need to stop this ill thought-out scheme before one of the only through roads gets blocked and grid locks the whole area including emergency vehicles. It will also promote moped crime as police cars can no longer pursue them.

Littlemore Road is a main road, not a 'rat run'. The council have yet again lost the plot. Blocking this off means a longer route to Cowley Centre. It does not help anyone let alone the emergency services.

I was out for a drive around Florence Park and drove straight into the planter on Rymers Lane. These LTNs are really dangerous for car drivers - I could bare!y see the p!anter. Perhaps my eyes aren't what they used to be.

this does not reduce traffic. this is implemented via citizens assemblies without consultation to affected neighbourhoods. shame on the council.

Absolutely ridiculous! Adding 10-15 mins to my journey a day and that’s with there being no traffic , so that could increase up to 25-30mins . You tell me how we are saving the environment! And that’s just one person!!

I believe that the barriers are definitely pointless and even harmful to people and the environment. Allegedly supposed to improve the residents environment, but it makes our lives more difficult and not healthier.

I have family that go to school and now have to leave an hour early because of these stupid barriers

These barriers does not improve the air pollution as people have to drive even longer distances now. Other important thing is my security. If something happened police can not drive after the villan or ambulance has to spend more time or will stuck in traffic ( because now people have to use the same road). Delivery and service people are driving round making more noise and pollution. As an alternative we should make these closed roads one direction and allow cars to park only on one side of the road. This will make it safe and more fluid than closing the roads which are paid from road tax which is paid by us drivers !

That will coz more problems to drivers .road traffic will increase and waiting time in traffic and stress also .
