They actually listened and the barriers are finally coming out which just feels surreal honestly (after all that time spent staring at those stupid concrete blocks). I am so incredibly relieved that we pulled this off even though I am definitely going to be keeping a close eye on the …
Traffic barriers in Littlemore and Cowley for the so-called 'Low Traffic Areas' are trapping local residents and worsening local traffic. They are unjust, and we call upon Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council to end the trial scheme immediately.
A thousand signatures just appeared on my screen and I have to say I honestly did not think we would hit that mark so quickly. The emails have been blowing up my phone all morning and it is just wild to see how many people are feeling the exact same level of frustration with these barriers. I am currently trying to find the best way to print all these names out before the next council meeting but my printer is acting up as usual.

I checked the total and we are staring down the triple digits which feels huge even though my coffee is cold and I should really be focusing on the actual council link instead of refreshing this page constantly. If you happen to be lurking please just grab that consultation link because the officials need to see more than just a list of names if we want these barriers gone for good.

Causing dreadful gridlock along Hollow way. Daughter is now late for college every day. A half hour journey took 2 hours. This is unacceptable. It is causing increased levels of car fumes. I feel sorry for the poor residents who live on Hollow way.

I am a professional dog walker and I have no choice but to drive to collect all my dogs but now I have dogs that live more or less next door to each other that I need to make a 10 minute detour to collect. How is that reducing traffic or pollution?

I am almost imprisoned in my street surrounded by LTNs. I have to drive greater distances on necessary journeys and have already used more petrol! Drivers are using the pavement...ill thought out and disastrous...the school road would have been enough!

I work as a key worker and it’s taking me 25 minutes extra to get to a patient that needs serious medical help
These roads being closed off are causing a serious problem for the ambulance service that save people’s lives and other emergency services

This has increased travel time and traffic to get to my childcare in Bartholomew Road from blackbird Leys. It’s also cut my parents in law off from Cowley centre in a car. A journey that used to take 2 minutes now takes 10, longer if traffic is bad

Owning a small cleaning company in Oxford, this adding on more time & cost to my staffs journeys & barriers don’t show on sat navs!
Maybe put humps in to slow traffic down, not make life more difficult for companies trying to go about their job

I am completely against this ill conceived policy as it stops civil liberties.
Totally unacceptable
