Skating is more than just disorderly behaviour in public. As a skater myself, we use it as expression and as a positive way to live our own lives; it builds community.
I personally believe that the skate ban on NOMA ground is a restriction in possibly the most expressive area in northern Manchester. This area is known for it progressivism, forward thinking and our own innovation - in banning skating, this is actively slowing down our free-expression and creativity.

Atrocious isn't it Sean, pretending to support counterculture and then getting their knickers in a twist when counterculture happens!

Got told by security I can't skate in case I hit someone, despite the area being near desolate apart from other students. I see no reason designated skate hours should be rejected as an idea, especially if there are signs up informing anyone who may pass through.
