End the postcode lottery for Fracture Liaison Services (FLS)

An extremely important service to identify & treat early the population who are osteoporotic and prevent further fractures.

Supporting efforts in Greater Manchester to have equitable FLS access.

Fracture Liaison Services are good for patients and good for the NHS.

I agree with this petition.

See the disparity in provision of service for this population frequently in clinic.

Having good FLS across the country will save the NHS money in the long-term. It makes sense for patients and it saves money for the NHS.

FLS are cost effective and reduce morbidity and mortality. They should be a basic standard of care across the UK.

Fracture Liaison services directly lead to improved bone health care and access to relevant therapies. However, coverage is inconsistent. The largest NHS trust in England does not have a FLS - please support investment, so all those over 50 years can access a FLS near them.

I helped set up FLS in East Sussex and it has transformed care for early detection of Osteoporosis after first fracture . There is the convenience of a bone Density scan in the local area and there are excellent liaison nurses to find cases through hospital records and then to investigate , advise and refer new patients .

Vital service. Far too many osteoporotic fractures.

Weston super mare hospital desperately need a FLS service

Best possible way to reduce the burden of osteoporotic fractures.

I believe every post menopausal women should have a Dexa scan to understand their bone density measurement

Working in an FLS in NI I fully understand the importance of this service for fracture risk identification and prevention.

There is strong evidence of FLS in preventing future bone fractures. This is the least the UK government could do.

This shouldn’t be a debate. It will save the lives of many and the NHS millions of £££.

Please find this to benefit our patients.

Neglect the needs of the service may increase the financial expenses in a long run.

I fully support the ROS campaign to have a FLS serving.
