Right now, hundreds of thousands of people are suffering due to this unnecessary government shutdown. Even more will suffer if this continues. About 400,000 federal employees are expected to work without pay, and approximately 350,000 federal employees are expected to be furloughed. That's approxiamately 750,000 employees that cannot pay their rent, buy groceries or pay their bills. Some of those being asked to work without pay are airport security officers and Border Patrol. Soon, even more innocent people will be affected when they cannot receive their foodstamp(SNAP) or family assistance benefits. Democrats and Republicans need to ban together and come up with a solution now, to end this government shutdown.
