Big lick needs to end. It’s not beautiful, it’s unnatural and ugly, and tradition for a bad tradition’s sake is just wrong. Soring is not only abuse, it’s been illegal since since 1970. Heavy stacks on the front shift their weight to the back and blow out their tendons, hips, joints. They also hyper extend the tendons and joint on the front end, essentially destroying all normal mobility. Also, while shod in stacks they have to be stalled 24/7. They have no freedom or normal equine life. Shame on all who support this.

end soring. this is animal cruelty. its unnatural and damages a horse for a lifetime if not condemns it to death. all for a 'few precious moments' in the ring on display while you wear a fancy suit. wake the hell up. god gave us these wonderful animals for a purpose. this isn't it.

These people that do this are so sad. How could they do that to a horse. Horses are amazing creatures and should be treated respectfully. If you were a horse would you want people to stick nails in your hoof and strap heavy peices of stuff to your legs. This NEEDS TO STOP! The Tennessee walking horses have a beautiful special gait when you are not forcing the front legs higher and there back legs under their bodies. This just needs to stop!!!!!!
