I feel that it's not right to suddenly just stop this rule... Nothing was explained to us. All we were told was that it was unsafe... How could it be that because of someone. No one is allowed to wear hoodies. I believe it is more fair if just that particular someone has to leave, so that we are a lot safer. Rather than making everyone not wear hoodies...

Granting students the opportunity to ONLY wear their hoodies TO school, in consideration of the cold winter, the WPS committee needs to understand that there are areas in schools-especially in classrooms and hallways-that their cheap and weak ass heating systems cannot even cover. They need to sit down and learn that there is much of a difference between wearing hoodies and sweaters. From the heavy weight of the material to the controversial hood itself, hoodies retain heat for the upper body AND neck. Even if a turtleneck sweater or the combination of a sweater and scarf can do the same, it may cost twice as much (or even more) as one hoodie in this day and age. I mean, the committee is more than welcome to donate their money to students. I'll even run to the dollar store to buy a thank-you card for their "great concern" for students. But they barely have enough in their budget as it is to prevent teachers from being cut, right? Yeah, okay. Thanks, WPS-You deserve a gold star for not only unnecessarily decreasing many families' money in the bank, but also taking away every student's freedom of expression. I applaud you, really.

As an alumni of South High, something this simple shouldn't be a problem in the first place.

People skip with or without the hoodie so I don't know why its such a big deal now???? I skip without my hoodie all the time so sma
