Our communities gain almost no economic benefits from subsidized sports teams
Here is a recent quote from the Washington Post:
"Recent bipartisan legislation on Capitol Hill aimed to strip federal funding from sports teams. A bill sponsored by Sens. James Lankford, R-Okla., and Cory Booker, D-N.J., would prevent teams from using municipal bonds that are exempt from federal taxes."
Rep. Steve Russell, R-Okla., introduced a similar bill in the House.
Lankford said in a statement in June:
“The federal government is responsible for a lot of important functions, butfinancing sports stadiums for multi million—sometimes billion—dollar
franchises is definitely not one of them. Using billions of federal
taxpayer dollars for the subsidization of private stadiums when we have
real infrastructure needs in our country is not a good way to prioritize
a limited amount of funds.”

The NFL has become so corrupt with a false sense of power, its time they realized they are nothing but an afterthought and serve only as a form of entertainment while others with real jobs do the day to day . No more taxpayer money. 50 million a year and a private jet highlights how skewed this situation has become. Thugs with money are still just thugs.
End all taxpayer funded subsidies and end their tax exemptions FOREVER!
You don't see baseball players or Nascar drivers doing it..Half of the football players are to young to understand just what our Flag stands for,and making millions.

They are paid multi millions to be able to do what they love, but to disrespect the flag and the National Anthem, and still get paid to play is ridiculous! These players are nothing but manipulative, arrogant, misguided people with Narcissistic Personality disorder, as they think, mistakenly, that the rules don't apply to them! Cut off their free tax money!!! Because apparently, it doesn't even matter that sponsors are pulling out, due to these moronic, misguided few!

Why should the government be subsidizing sports. They make an awful lot of money on the games. Waste of good taxpayer money. A lot of us don't even follow the sports games at all. My money going to this is ridiculous!
