Help end summer reading and projects at EWG high school! As students, we demand for changes to be made to our summer work. Summer is a time for us students to relax and not worry about doing school work. With summer reading and summer projects, it makes it nearly impossible for us to just unwind and relax during our time off. With the constant reminder to read and work in the back of our minds, it causes stress and anxiety in many of us. We strongly feel that summer should be a break from all work and we should not have to follow school rules during the time when school is not in session. We understand that making us still do work is seen as "helpful" but how is stress and anxiety helpful? It just does not make sense to us on why we need extra stress in our lives. Being an adolescent can be the most difficult time during a persons life, as many studies have proven, and school work in the summer just adds to the list of difficulties.

We also want to add the the current load of work we were given for summer is too much. We have to read uninteresting books not to our liking plus do a project plus write an essay plus do an oral presentation! It's redundant work and too much. How can we enjoy summer with having to do this much work?

Please stop help stop summer reading and projects at EWG high school. We demand drastic changes to be made. Help stop the stress and anxiety! Please sign this petition to benefit us Students!
