Squatters rights mean that just anybody can come into a home, rental property, abandoned home etc and as long as they have been there 30 days they have gained some sort of rights to that property. Which is wrong!!! I moved out of my trailor in Sevier County TN 4 months ago and my 66 year old grandmother and I have been fighting to get my mother and her drug buddies out of my trailor. She took it over i guess when i left. Turned the power on in someone elses name and vandalized it horrifically. All because she gained "Squatters rights" My grandmother lost her husband of 45 years in December. And has WAY BEYOND enough on her. The only reason I left my home was to go help and care for her and this is what has happened. If someone gains squatters right they 'legally' just gained rights to your property and i believe it needs to end.

I have been reading through all the stories people are sending in and it turns out this is happening everywhere which just makes me so angry for all of us. My own situation with the trailer is still a complete mess but at least now I know I am not shouting into the void alone while I try to figure out what legal steps to take next. It is wild that we even have to fight for the right to our own property but I am not letting this go.

Seeing this much energy behind the idea that people should actually be able to keep their own homes feels like a huge weight is finally starting to lift. I never thought so many people out there would understand the nightmare of dealing with this stuff while trying to take care of family and it honestly makes me feel a lot less alone right now.

I have 8 in a beautiful house our business purchased almost 6 months ago.......WE HAVE NO RIGHTS AS THE OWNERS!!!!! THESE CRIMINAL SQUATTERS ARE GOING TO MAKE THIS REHAB MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE! Americans need to do something.
This is my moms property which my sister has NO right to. squatters rights must end!

Squatter right are old and useless and needed to upgrade to Criminal , they are dangerous and problematic crimes
Protecting criminals shouldn't be a law
Stop giving squatters / trespassers more rights than the actual homeowner / renter. Too many are playing the system !!!
We took a whole continent illegally through adverse possession before extorting the owners with white man legalese, before destroying them

Please change the laws that are allowing squatters to have rights over homeowners/property owners. Their "rights" over a homeowners/property owners rights, is not only morally wrong, but absolutely makes no logical sense. Squatters have gone to the extreme of sharing how to do this to hard working home and property owners, and get away with it. How is this happening in our country? Please change our laws to remove squatter "rights" (a.k.a stealing) and change it to justifiably enforce a homeowners/property owners rights. Please do not allow this shame of protecting squatters to continue in our country.
