Squatters rights mean that just anybody can come into a home, rental property, abandoned home etc and as long as they have been there 30 days they have gained some sort of rights to that property. Which is wrong!!! I moved out of my trailor in Sevier County TN 4 months ago and my 66 year old grandmother and I have been fighting to get my mother and her drug buddies out of my trailor. She took it over i guess when i left. Turned the power on in someone elses name and vandalized it horrifically. All because she gained "Squatters rights" My grandmother lost her husband of 45 years in December. And has WAY BEYOND enough on her. The only reason I left my home was to go help and care for her and this is what has happened. If someone gains squatters right they 'legally' just gained rights to your property and i believe it needs to end.
