Mui you are an inspiration. You Tube is a powerful tool which accesses our homes and our lives each day.... Our children watch it, have grown up with it. In the past its proved to be entertaining and features extremely useful advice and even offers tutorials for everyday DIY jobs that we get stuck with. However, to use it in this exploitative, harmful and an unthinkable way is an absolute disgrace and whoever allows this to happen should be stopped from having any control over social media. STOP this now and end these 'shock' videos.

Although I was never particularly close with Mui, i always admired her strength and her ability to make the most of the situation. I'm honestly appalled that the video stayed up for as long as it did and I can say that in the years I went to school with Mui, I never once thought she was "terrifying".

Please support the dignified and courageous Mui Thomas and Hunter's campaign to protect themselves and others with visible differences from unscrupulous thieves who have no business using their videos and images for their nefarious ends. I am a retired Educator, teacher, sister, Aunt, and Great Aunt of individuals that were born with Ichthyosis. This sort of blatant misinformation and shock tactics are to us the same as simular tactics used to mislead and misinform the populous about other birth defects. They are using copyrighted material to do this and that makes it against the law.
