Do not sacrifice the safety of me and my fellow Americans when there are so many other appropriate places to cut back spending. This is not one of them. Not now.

I think anyone who supports idea of drawing down military has some problems. If we had an unknown need of protect USA there would not be enough trained personnel to cover need. It would not be fair to put someone just out of basic to protect our country.

Ft. Benning is a large post, why should any reduction take place @ this post? Why not down size some of the smaller Military installations and combine them with the larger one's. I've relocated back to this area from California and i couldn't believe how beautiful the post looks, a new hospital and a new place for the Veterans, it would be a waste to downsize now. I pray that it will remain the same.

Almost every generation in my family has been in the military, or deeply involved in it. This is an insult to all we've done and contributed. Do not insult the ones who are still fighting. Stop this cut!
