The literal decimation of our military cannot be a wise choice. Benning is a healthy installation with many resources there, and offered in the surrounding communities. Moving smaller installations that don't have those resources and support to Benning would benefit those.

What a waste it would be to have spent all this money at Ft. Benning and then decrease the amount of troops there.

The United States must maintain a strong defense . We must continue to grow our military at Ft. Benning and other places in our country. Reducing Ft. Benning will make an economic impact on our city!

Columbus and the surrounding areas need Fort Benning to stay strong. It is a matter of economics, but more than that it is a matter of national security. This is not the time to cut our military.

This area needs all the possible personnel at Fort Benning to help the growth and economic development. I have worked in other cities, and I find that Columbus, Georgia is still behind in development and revenue generation.
