In addition to the points in the Petition, I would like to say that it appears that our enemies are increasing their military strengths at the same time we are cutting ours. This is doubly troubling. Please try to get your colleagues to see the dangers we are facing.

Please don't let people go from their jobs. They all have families that they need to take care of.

The residents of Columbus, GA, who influence innumerable others, would be culturally underprivileged without Fort Benning.

This would hurt Columbus, as well as take away from our defense. Totally against this!

It is asinine to reduce our force as the world is chaos and the threat level to our great nation is at risk. Does the politicians have any idea what the reduction in force have on the security of our nation? Do they even care? Wake up America, it's time we pull together and demand the force reduction must cease and let the politicians know they work for us and failure to comply will result to them losing their seat in congress.

I feel that with everything that is going on in the world it is important that we keep a strong military. Also, due to many positions being more technologically based these days - it takes longer to train troops and have them up to the knowledge base needed to be able to defend the United States. We have to be able to take care of and protect the United States and its citizens. There are too many threats toward our well being in this world. They cannot be taken lightly and then if something happens its "Oh we need to increase our troops now." By the time extra troops could even be signed up, let alone trained, it could very well be too late. Those that think it is wise to weaken our defenses have no idea what they are dangers they are leaving the United States vulnerable too.

We need our military. The government needs to cut unnessary spending by the politicians and out the money back into our defense budget.

Troop strength reduction in the face of ever increasing threats to our nation is both counter-intuitive and counter-productive. Another of obama's attempts to set this nation up for destruction at the hands of his fellow muslims.
