Our Sir Wilfrid Laurier S.S. Civics and Careers summer school class has created a campaign to stop rape culture. Rape culture is defined as normalizing and accepting talk, and ideas of sexual assault and rape. "Rape culture includes jokes, TV, music, advertising, legal jargon, laws, words and imagery, that make violence against women and sexual coercion seem so normal that people believe that rape is inevitable." - WAVAV This is 2017, and we have not done as much as we should have to stop this.
