I'd rather be able to know what's going on in the local areas, with crime, traffic, and potential hazards for the local area as I do in home caregiving all over Vancouver, and it's hard to know what's going on without a scanner.

The scanners are an important piece for the commmunity to stay safe. It should not be encrypted. What are the police hiding? Don't give them the power. WE THE PEOPLE!

I believe that in the publics best interest, and department transparency that normal radio traffic be broadcast unencrypted.

Please do not encrypt police transmissions, I rely on them for safety info for my neighborhood where there is a lot of crime

Stop the police encrypted scanner. Please have an obligation to the public to release info to the public.
