suspending a child in pre-k -2nd grade, is ridiculous, lets just say suspending in elementary is foul, they are still babies at heart. What ever happened to sending them to another class room for the day more patience is needed. What ever happened to the old school teachers that had no fears of little kids and they had patience and knew how to deal with babies!

Ridiculous. Learn to deal with behaviors instead of just sending them away.

Please follow the precedent of Houston and El Paso ISD and say "No More!'' to suspensions of early learners. Let our children have an equal chance to learn.

Any policy or procedure with this much racial disparity in it needs re-examining.

I'm down to end it all. Beyond the grades this petition is aiming at.

As a teacher of preschool for 20 years I find that children need to be helped and supported not suspended.

We need to stop this harmful - to all students - process immediately!

Suspending young children is an injustice that sends a terrible message. It is time to make things right.

Sadly, I saw this happen in my daughter's classroom last year when she was in PK. Unacceptable

We shouldn't teach children that they can avoid school at an early age by acting out. It deprives them of the full value of their education from that point on.

I am an AISD teacher signing on behalf of my past, current, and, and future students that deserve to have their needs fully supported and invested in.

This goes for all the schools!

Enough is enough, AISD shouldn't support a school pipeline to prison. Stand with the youth, not against them.

Aisd definitely must remedy such a shameful practice. 3-6 year olds are not criminals--they're babies.

This practice needs to stop.

Also consider what is needed to help and support teachers.

I can't believe this is an issue!
