The collection of a person's information, including about their travel and habits, by the government is a violation of 4th amendment rights. Using a 3rd party to do so, and then obtaining the information without warrant, is unconstitutional. No government shall obtain this information without just cause and a warrant. These systems have been and will continue to be heavily abused by individuals and governments.

I noticed the new flock cameras that have been placed near our Swift Creek Estates home. I am extremely concerned by the installation of one that is at 1 of 2 entrances into the Matoaca high school/swift creek estates area and think it’s shocking that the county is purposefully collecting this type of information relating to high school children. I do not believe in mass surveillance and find the uses to be questionable. These cameras are being removed all across the country because of the high cost and level of citizen concern . I’d like Chesterfield to cancel the contract. We were fine before them and don’t find this to be an acceptable use of funding.

While I live in Richmond, I often shop in Chesterfield. If I think I'm being surveilled I will probably take my business to other localities. If I know I'm not being surveilled I will bring more of my business away from localities that use these cameras
