There is no science that says mask are effective against thr transmission of an upper respiratory virus. Kids need to see expressions of one another and adults. Its not healthy for them to be breathing in the bacteria they breathe out all day long . If a parent wants their kids to wear a mask so be it for that kid but for the ones who chose to have their kids not wear a mask should be allowed to have their children mask less.
