I have worked with these children for the past three summers. What a shame it is that the state allows this.

This state has so much waste. We need someone to fix this now. As long as we pass out all this free help the lines will always get longer. You get more for free when you don't work. What is that telling people.

I work with families that are at times homeless due to unfortunate circumstances. I do not believe the current program is fiscally responsible nor sustainable. There needs to be changes made to build a program that can meet the needs of the children in our State while also utilizing the Taxpayer's funding in a more appropriate manner.

Ha ha, $2500 per month is a little money? My rent is 1/4 of that. It's worth moving for, no?

We must establish minimum terms of residence (at least a year, sufficiently documented). We can not continue to allow people from other states to come and get housing.

I am just tired of paying for people who use the system but are fully capable of working.

Coming from someone who personally deals with people on this program, I can tell you it's not and will never work. Not only do these people stay in this program for more than two years a piece but while there innocent children are in the other room the irresponsible parents are smoking crack and selling there food stamps for every other drug! This program must end!

There needs to be tighter restrictions on placing the homeless. Danvers has seen a huge increase in homeless families. The economic strain on our town is huge. There are 178 families in Danvers motels. Danvers Public schools will pay $250,000 in transportation costs...of which the town is reimbursed only 70%. There is a great article with more details on the Danvers Patch.

You can't simply put a bandaid on things, there has to be a better, more permanent solution.

If I can work to jobs to keep the roof over my kids head then so should they.
