I have spent the past several days reviewing your comments regarding the arbitrary monthly line charge. It is clear that many of you are frustrated by being forced to pay for a service you do not use. I am currently compiling these experiences to present them directly to the company leadership.

The momentum behind this effort proves that many residents are frustrated by these mandatory fees. This collective response confirms that the current policy requires immediate reevaluation.

I am sick of paying for a phone I do not even have plugged in because I want internet!
GW hides behind "anti-monopoly" laws to maintain a monopoly! They forced me to add phone service to my home (though I REFUSE to use it) to be able to get the ONE service I want from them that they are already extremely overcharging for high-speed Internet.
We have cell phones, no need for a land line at home.
We need to make a push to move support from voice (landline phones) to broadband funding. https://www.fcc.gov/general/universal-service. Call your congressman and tell them to support broadband funding.
I was told another tower is coming to town. I can hardly wait.
End the high charges
I do agree that it is terrible to charge people for a phone line they do not want. I am also charged for this line I do not want or use.

It is ridiculous that we have to pay for a phone we don't even plug in. On top of that the cost for Internet service is outrageously expensive. However, we have no choice but to pay these costs, even though it's unfair, because we must have Internet in today's society. Stop the ridiculous charges!!
