The state finally caved and tightened the restrictions on these reckless fireworks laws. It took thousands of us demanding peace to force the politicians to act but we actually took our neighborhoods back. Keep your eyes open because we need to make sure they do not backtrack on these new …

We, the citizens of Pennsylvania, ask for the kind consideration of our neighbors and the immediate assistance of all elected officials in addressing the unintended but clearly negative consequences of PA's fireworks law.

While we all support safe and joyous celebration, the use of Class C fireworks in residential neighborhoods night after night over the spring and summer months present multiple issues, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of sleep, peace, and tranquility
  • Harm to pets
  • Anxiety and harmful impacts on those with PTSD
  • Air, sound, and ground pollution
  • Safety of those using fireworks, neighbors, and buildings

After three years under the new law, the evidence is clear. Fireworks are being used in a harmful way and in violation of the few remaining restrictions. The problem is not limited to a few nights surrounding holidays, but nearly every night in some areas.

We are not the neighborhood cranks. We love our towns and cities. Help us make positive and reasonable changes to the laws and their enforcement for the good of all.

The legislature thinks we will just put up with these sleepless nights forever but our momentum proves otherwise. We need to hit five hundred signatures immediately to force the politicians to finally acknowledge the damage their law has caused. Send this link to everyone you know right now so we can stop these fireworks from terrorizing our neighborhoods.

As a long-term resident of York City, I have noticed a marked increase in fireworks usage in the last several years. It’s a very dangerous practice around these old, tightly packed houses. Please restrict their use and impose severe penalties on violators.

the only bad part of summer is the fireworks around my house...allllll the time...not just July 4, but a majority of the entire month...both my dogs need medicated during this time...its not fair on either of us...to have to drug our pets, so they don't get sick, from the noise.

My neighbors set off fireworks then put the hot remains in our recycle bin. Obviously it went up in flames!! I'm also tired of seeing the remnants just left in the alleys. My dog is terrified. Someone in our household has PTSD. Holidays are expected but every night is crap!!

Fireworks every single night until all hours. Police say there is no way to enforce noise and safety regulations. Essential workers can't sleep. Loosening restrictions on fireworks sales was a failed experiment; please repeal!

My house was hit by a neighbor’s firework on 9/15/2019. We are still trying to have the ~$9k of damaged the firework caused repaired. As of right now we also had to pay our insurance deductible unless our insurance company can retrieve it.

Absolutely no need to shoot fireworks off every single night of the week that sound like loud explosions from 8:45 pm thru 12:00am and sometimes after 12:00! And my location there’s no possible way any are 150 feet away from any structure.

At the very least, add a restriction of 150 feet from property lines. Have contacted governor, senator, rep...
