With our economy as it is, it is hard on the underpaid (and even those making good money) to afford to drive back and forth to work everyday. It is sad when a person must spend up to HALF of their pay each month just to get to work. This is rediculous! The need to end high fuel prices is an extreme one. All fuel prices should drop by at least $1.25 per gallon or more (but no less than $1.25). Think about this for a moment. A truck driver who delievers goods to a place is forced to pay extreme fuel prices and at the same time is expected to haul the goods at the same price he/she did when fuel prices were $1.75 a gallon. How much sense does that make? If a truck driver gets paid $2,500 for hauling a load from point A to point B, but it takes him/her $2,400 or more in fuel, then what was the point in taking the load? If you want your favorite items at the store to drop in price and you want to be able to get back and forth to work or do leisure things without breaking the bank with fuel then this petition is for you.
