I feel that not all kids learn the same. My kids have struggled a great deal this year with eginuity they went from making A's and B's to struggling tremendously. I think the board members teachers and principals should take a step back and realize the damage this is doing to our kids. It has made my son dislike school this year and its hard to see him struggle so much.

As a parent, I am currently discouraged with the learning system that has been implemented in middle school. You can't put all children in the same box. They are individuals and not all students learn the same. I have a special needs child tha has an IEP with accommodations that are I feel have not been followed since my child has been in middle school and now Edgenuity has been implemented and grades have gone from bad to worse. His confidence level has dropped tremendously since middle school. He no longer wants to go to school. Imagine how that feels as a parent, when you know your child is capable of learning. I also have another middle school who has always made decent grades and has not had many problems before Edgenuity to say that he is confused and overwhelmed. He wishes that things would just go back to normal. Please help our children. Listen to their voices, which may not always be verbal. They all are not as mature as we want them to be. Focusing and being responsible is not always and option when we are dealing with "CHILDREN". Let's make some changes!

I was in tears when a 12th grader who was a all A- B student told me she wanted to quit school because of edgenuity. I told her please do not consider that, she then said I am definitely not going to college I hate school because of this new learning system.

We need our children to be heard. We need Edgenuity to be changed and updated to reflect correct content and help our students succeed. Mandatory use is not optional for every student. We need action. This is a call to action!

Edgenuity is supposed to be blended learning with a mixture of teacher direct instruction. My son has gone through the first semester with very little direct instruction from his teachers. Most of the class time is spent trying to catch kids up with the online portion. Young kids struggle to retain information that is given to them without reinforcement from teachers in the classroom. I spend several hours during the evening trying to help my son catch up . I'm strongly considering removing him from Henry County schools.

Education is supposed to be informative and enriching. As a high school student, I do not that this method of learning (self-directed) is beneficial. If I wanted to teach myself - I would opt to be homeschooled.

Edgenuity is not helping our children succeed academically; it is hindering their educational growth.
