I have this problem and the only way to stop it is to end the barbaric practice of hunting with dogs. These dogs are abused and left to starve. its not right and most the starving dogs end up on my care.

I can't wait for this to pass. We own land in Yale in Sussex county VA. Dog hunters in one particular hunt club are a nasty problem this year more than in the past. They release their dogs where they run across 4 or more connected posted properties driving the wildlife off to their ambush/dog pick up location. Of course the dogs also stop and aggraviate the goats that we have as goats and deer are cousins, as well as scare our other livestock with their barking. Some of the members of this hunt club do not even know where they are truly allowed to hunt and actually told me to my face where they could hunt which included my land and 3 other neighbors all of us have posted property. They need to learn how to still hunt and know the boundries to the places they have permission to be on. Still hunting is less stress on land owners and the wildlife. You can get a cleaner shot, more likely to get a 1 shot kill, and can better manage the overall quality of the animals, and possibly even reduce hunting accidents because they hear dogs and start shooting at every noise they hear. One of the final straws was a spike buck was shot and his backstraps cut out and then thrown into the creek/beaver pond on our property where it crosses the road and the next weekend our elderly neighbor was blocked in her driveway on a private road by hunters on her land without her permission. I will be very glad to see them go!!!
