Young teens are children. They are still growing and learning about the world and themselves. They should be allowed to grow naturally, with an education. This will benefit not only the children and their families but also the country and the economy. It’s a basic human right not to be married off into what is effectively slavery. I have a child who was born here in Marrakech and I want her to be free to make her own informed decisions. This is every child/young adult’s right. It’s the government’s responsibility to keep children safe from this practice.

Not sure that signing a petition would contribute in any concrete way to change the mentalities and amending the laws but for whatever this is worth I certainly think the cause is important.
