Treat people like Human beings not animals

A long overdue and simple amendment. We rely on our immigrants to keep our economy growing and our country's reputation as a refuge 'untarnished'.

I am working with new immigrants and refugees from 2014. The waiting period is one of the major barrier in the way of their settlement and integration. Please consider removing the waiting period. Thank you,

I’m on implied status from last 1 1/2 years so health authorities stopped our coverage . When we update our status give us 3 months waiting for coverage.

B.C needs to support the basic dignity and well-being of newcomers by ending this harmful policy. It increases both financial and human costs and benefits no one.

As an immigrant, a woman, and now a Canadian citizen, I support this petition 100%. The same support should be extended to out-of-province Canadians and Canadian citizens moving between countries due to the high cost of living in Canada.

Immiigrrants have a hard time without the need to fight for health care. what kind of a society are we to invite them here and then deny a human right to health care

I was shocked to read that "BC is only one of two provinces with this outdated, harmful and racist policy...." I support the call to permanently end BC's mandatory three-month wait period for health coverage for newly arrived im/migrants.

I believe everyone living in BC, who needs care, should receive it regardless of how long they have been residents. If they have moved here, they intend to remain and will contribute to the system from their time of arrival.
