The fetus, though enclosed in the womb of its mother, is already a human being (homo), and it is almost a monstrous crime to rob it of life which it has not yet begun to enjoy. If it seems horrible to kill a man in his own house than in a field, because a man’s house is his place of most secure refuge, it ought surely to be deemed more atrocious to destroy a fetus in the womb before it has come to light.

We live in a world of conflicting rights and as such few rights are absolute - all the time, reasonable limits have to be placed on most freedoms. Even most pro-choice advocates would agree that the right to life, when it arises,
is a right that should outweigh the right to bodily autonomy per se (even more so other speculative arguments such as whether the child would want to be born in the circumstances or not). As such, the relevant inquiry is when does life begin? We believe that life begins at conception, and must stay true to our consciences in advocating for such, to do otherwise would be a lack of integrity and moral fiber. We do empathize with those who are in the situation of considering abortion and realize that it is also important to work on avenues of support for individuals who may need it in keeping the child.
