If you're a Disney Pixar Cars (diecast cars) collector, then you already know how frustrating it can be to see a nice set (or theme) of cars be created and then forgotten about before all of the cars are released.

One set in particular is the Disney Cars 2 Racers METALLIC FINISH that Mattel made exclusively for Toys R Us (TRU). Out of several sets of the 11 WGP Racers from the Cars 2 movie, the TRU Metallic version is arguably the best collection of the bunch. But it's also the one set that doesn't look to be 'on track' to complete. This petition is designed to show Mattel that there is interest in this set being completed.

Please sign this petition if you'd like to see Mattel and TRU get things 'in gear' and released the final batch of racers to complete the set. Read on if you want to know more about the five WGP Racers sets.

CARS 2 WGP RACERS INFO

There are four other sets of 11 WGP cars that have been introduced, and nearly all of them are complete or are in the process of being completed. See attached photo. Top shelf are the originally released racers - all 11 are complete. 2nd shelf are the (originally exclusive) KMart Silver Metallic racers. The 11th racer, RIP, was produced in Gold Metallic Deco since that car didn't appear in the 'Silver Race' (from what I have gathered). But, at least it's 11 cars and that's good enough for me. The 3rd shelf is the more recently produced ICE RACERS. 9 have been released just about everywhere, and the last two (RIP and CARLA) are starting to show up on shelves. Good job! That's three sets nearly complete. The 4th shelf are NEON RACERS. Missing four cars right now (Jeff, Francesco, Rip and Carla), but I expect we'll see them eventually (hopefully by Christmas).

And the last shelf? The five METALLIC Toys R Us cars were provided more than a year ago, then.... NOTHING! Rauol is available overseas, or for outrageous prices on auction sites. Apparently he's going to be released soon for the US market. Why so long? And what about the other five racers?

So, please sign the petition, and thanks for your support!
