The cadence is ignored. We have to pause our tv for almost every train and we live 3 blocks from intersection. Cannot even carry on a conversation in our living room. Ridiculous blasting @ 12:30 am. Decibel level is deafening if you're near crossing. Seems intentionally over honking by some drivers.

We need wayside horns along Encinitas and Leucadia, especially as train frequency will increase significantly in the next years.

I've live on Vulcan. The train horns are getting noticeably louder. Some train engineers are playing the horn like a musical instrument. It's getting out of control. We deserve a quiets zone just like they have in Del Mar and elsewhere.

The train is charming, great transportation and part of Encinitas. However, the increase in trains and I believe more horns are annoying. Let's follow Del Mar and quiet our city.

Amtrak and freight trains horns are far too loud. Amtrak trains pass through Leucadia going way too fast - no doubt adding to the need for the extremely loud horn. Slow them down, and turn down the volume. Use the Coaster as your model. The Coaster's speed and horn volume are perfectly within reason.

I live on 2nd st. And D st and every night when the train blows its horn,... it sounds like the train is coming through our bed room. We use the train, but they blow the horn way louder and longer then they need to. Many nights, every hr...no sleep . please fix this problem. Thank you, Jeff
