Amazing idea, it'd be great to help get students feeling comfortable showing in a place more public than the campus, real networking and sales opportunities would be possible also.

Ypsi can be a real art center--a new gallery would complement Riverside and EMU's gallery, and create a critical mass of art spaces to visit.

I think this is a fabulous idea. I think there needs to be a deeper connection between EMU and Ypsi, in general. I would also like to see more outlets for art to be accessible to the public. Non-EMU students/staff are unlikely to come to campus, unless knowing the artists personally; mainly due to convenience/parking/$$. It would be great to have the students' art promoted downtown or in another public city-space.

Eastern's art program is good enough to compete with UM, it just needs to be promoted in that way. More benefits for artists will make EMU more attractive to incoming students.
