Hardship? Do they really even take into account that if you were to serve on a 5 day or more trial that you will not be able to keep a roof over your head, or food on the table? Not from my experience. This is not okay, it is our duty to serve as jurors when we are called on and no one really wants to serve simply because of the fact that they can not seem to make ends meat on a regular work schedule, let alone trying to scrape by with an entire weeks salary gone. Something needs to be done, and it needs to be done now. People would be more enthusiastic about serving on real jury trial if they didn't have to stress til they were sick about trying to pay their bills. Lets make a change!!
